Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics

The Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics is the first hospital caring exclusively for birds and other exotic animals in Westchester NY and surrounding counties.
Behind that effort is Dr. Laurie Hess, the Center’s board-certified bird specialist, who in going from an independent practitioner without a home to opening a full-fledged hospital with multiple staff needed a robust web presence.
We designed and built an attractive, original site to help the hospital and its staff attract clients and remain engaged with them. The site encompasses analytics, SEO, SMO, paid search, 3rd party platform integration, a high quality eCommerce solution and a custom CMS.
Concepts in Health, Inc., maker of MidNite Sleep and MidNite Sleep PM needed a complete overhaul of their website, which was poorly designed, malfunctioning, not optimized for search engines and was potentially reason enough to avoid the product itself.
OK, that’s setting the bar pretty low but after reorganizing the existing copy, we decided on a theme involving soft clouds beneath a clear night sky to drive the brand and present a large volume of content as cleanly as possible.
The Association of Avian Veterinarians’ previous website was cluttered and badly needed an informational hierarchy, along with everything from a top to bottom reorganization and new user and administrative back-ends to a distinct presence for its flagship publication, the Journal of Avian Medicine and Surgery.
MaceMedia delivered a clean, open layout with an easy to use navigation and a scalable means to feature key initiatives.
Fedweek is a leading provider of news and employee-focused publications for federal employees but it’s 1990s website was dating it. In meeting an extensive set of criteria, MaceMedia redesigned, rebuilt and programmed a more contemporary publishing and eCommerce platform to drive readership and sales.
A completely refurbished CMS makes life much easier on content managers as well. Social media integration and a Facebook presence help spread the word while search engine optimization across the platform boosts visibility.
